PEACE

(DAY 1 of 7) Raquel Baugh
“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way.  The Lord be with you all.” - 2 Thessalonians 3:16 NIV

Think

It is very hard to find peace in the world today. Stress is everywhere. If we look at our circumstances, we can easily become consumed with anxiety and fear. But God says He will “give you peace at all times.” This means He will give you peace through the good times and through the difficult ones as well. Through Him, it is possible to experience peace even in the middle of the toughest trials. That is because God is with you, and you can trust He has your best interest in mind. God remains faithful and good always.
The Bible says in Isaiah 9:6, that Jesus is the Prince of Peace. When anxiety hits hard, walking closely with Him will change you. Keep your eyes on Him, not on your circumstances. You will only live with peace in this life to the level that you live in communion with Him. In every situation, He is with you, and He can sustain you, empower you and fill you with His peace. In John 14:27, Jesus promises His disciples, “peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

Act

When you feel anxiety and the things of the world pull you down; walk with the Prince of Peace.  Let Him speak peace into your storm, let his presence change you. Take time to replace the thoughts that are causing you anxiety with His truth and receive His peace today.

Pray

Jesus, I thank you that you can speak peace into my storm. I pray against any anxiety and fear I may feel. I ask that you pour your peace into my heart and that you fill me with your Holy Spirit to overflow. I surrender any challenging situation(s) I may be experiencing into your mighty hands, and I trust you will take care of it. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
