POWER
(DAY 4 of 7) P.J. Estevez
“Being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father…” – Colossians 1:11 NIV
Think
When we think about God’s power, we usually picture huge miracles like seas parting, mountains moving, miraculous healing or prayers answered instantly. But in this verse, Paul is reminding us that God’s power often shows up in much quieter ways. It shows up when you’re exhausted yet continue to show up. It shows up when you choose patience instead of snapping back. It shows up when you can still find joy even though nothing in your situation has changed yet.
That’s real strength and it’s not something we manufacture ourselves. It’s God’s power working through us. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is available to help you make it through today.
So, if you’re feeling worn out or frustrated, maybe the prayer isn’t “God, make this easier,” but “God, make me stronger.” His power doesn’t always mean He’ll take the hard thing away, sometimes it means He’ll give you everything you need to walk through it.

Act
Think about one area of your life where you’re tired, waiting, or struggling to stay joyful. Instead of praying for the situation to change, ask God to strengthen you in it. This week, pay attention to the small ways He gives you endurance to keep going, patience to wait well, and joy that doesn’t depend on circumstances.
Pray
God, thank you that your power isn’t just for big miracles, it’s for the everyday moments when I need strength to keep going. Help me rely on your strength instead of my own. Give me endurance when I’m tired, patience when I want to rush things, and joy even when things don’t change. I trust that you’re working in me, and that your power is enough for everything I face. Amen.
Pray
Spend some time worshiping the Lord.
Come back tomorrow for day 12!
